What is Hope Harbor?
The mission of Hope Harbor is to offer a Christ-centered program of hope, healing, and supportive guidance for women and children escaping domestic violence. This up to two-year program offers safe housing, life-skills training, counseling and the opportunity for further education to promote financial stability. Hope Harbor pledges to create an environment in which a solid foundation for productive lives is realistic. Hope Harbor has completed extensive research regarding similar transitional homes, and is using successful and evidence-based practices.
Hope Harbor is a 501(c) (3) tax-deductible organization (registered as Puerto Esperanza Inc. dba Hope Harbor) for women and children who have been affected by domestic violence.

Domestic Violence (DV)
Domestic violence is a pattern of behaviors that a person uses to control an intimate partner or family member through fear, coercion, intimidation, or isolation. DV is highly organized in nature, cyclical and calculated. Over time, DV increases in both frequency and danger.
